Goodies!

Hey everyone!

I was bored on my lunch today so I decided to go into Walgreens. I usually go to CVS just because there always seems to be one around me. I was trying to be good so I only picked up a few items. My main goal to be honest was to see if they had the Milani color statement lipsticks yet, but no luck. The first item I picked up was the Covergirl 3 in 1 foundation in the color classic tan #860. This shade is a little light for me which is fine because I have a powder that is a little too dark for me so they will even each other out. I've seen some reviews for this and had to try it. It claims to have a lasting power of a primer, coverage of a concealer, and blendability of a foundation. With a description like that who wouldn't want to try it!

I tried it out on my hand and it seems like a medium to full coverage. The only negative is it's not as blendable as it said it was. I will have a full review after I wear it a few good times.

The next item I picked up is the Jordana Fabu brow eyebrow pencil in dark brown.

And last but not least I had to get this nude palette by Profusion. I love the palette that I have from them already so I'm kind of excited to try this one.

It has 3 mattes and 3 shimmers

Goodies!

Happy weekend!!

I wanted to share a few things I picked up yesterday at CVS. The first item I had to get was the L'oreal true match crayon concealer. I have been hearing about this concealer everywhere so I had to try it out for myself. I am a C6 soft sable in the true match foundation. For some reason they only have these for warm and neutral skin tones which only come in 6 shades. Fair/Light W1-2-3, Fair/Light N1-2-3, Light/Medium W4-5, Light/Medium N4-5, Medium/Deep W6-7-8, and Medium/Deep N6-7-8. I bought the shade in Light/Medium N4-5 for under my eyes. I tried it out and I love it so far. So creamy and easy to blend. I would say its medium to full coverage. I want to wear it a few more times before I give my full review on it but its working pretty well so far. The second item I picked up is a red lipstick from Kate Moss collection. It is number 10. Its a very pretty red and I'm always on the look out for a red. I haven't tried it yet but I will have a review on it soon. Last but not least I picked up Maybelline dream smooth mousse foundation. It was 50% off so I figured why not try it. I already have the dream matte mousse which I've hit pan on so this was a perfect opportunity to try the smooth mousse. I'm actually glad I bought this. I tried it out and it's working pretty well so far. I will have review on this soon also.

Review-Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream

Hey everyone!!

I finally have my personal review on the Maybelline Dream Fresh BB cream. I have been trying this out on and off for a few weeks so I think I am ready to give my thoughts on it. Ok so I'm not going to lie I was pretty close to being done with this bb cream. After only 4 hours my face looked like a sweaty mess! I even put powder on top to help control it, but that was a fail. I always apply a face primer before putting any kind of product on so I was thinking maybe it was the primer making it look so greasy. I alternated with my Maybelline age rewind face primer and my ELF mineral infused face primer. Still no luck. It was not until I was watching a Youtube video when I saw the NYC smooth skin perfecting face primer and remembered I had this primer as well. I tried it out and BAM! I was no longer looking like a grease monkey. So when I was able to resolve that issue I grew to like it. It's light coverage and blends in smoothly. It evens out my skin without looking like I have makeup on. I tend to wear it more during the week when I go to work. It's perfect because I throw it on with some primer and powder and I'm good to go.

For me the Maybelline and ELF face primer didn't work to well, but the NYC worked great with the bb cream

Please excuse the lighting. Taken with iphone

ELF lipstick

Hey everyone!

I wanted to do a review on the ELF essential lipsticks. I ordered 3 from eyeslipsface.com in December. I purchased Captivating, Posh, and Fantasy for $1.00 each. I must say for a $1.00 lipstick they aren't bad. They apply on smoothly and last a good amount of time. I reapplied once after about 4 hours but that's just by habit. They can eventually feel a little dry to the lips so make sure to moisturize before applying.

Captivating- nude coral(sorry for the blurriness)
I didn't really like this color when I first tried it but it's growing on me. If I use a brown lip liner and a nude gloss I think it looks nice.
Posh- wine/berry
I love this color! It's perfect for fall. I usually mix this with my pinks that are too light for my skin tone to make the perfect shade.
Fantasy- nude brown
This is a prefect nude for me. It doesn't wash me out at all. I have a hard time finding a nude that I don't have to alter to make it work for me. This was worth the $1.00 lol.

Covergirl Divine

Hey boos!

I was watching some youtube videos yesterday and noticed a few ladies wearing this gorgeous shade of lavender lipstick. It was Covergirl Divine. I had to have it. So I went to Meijer and found the covergirl section. There was only one Divine left which isn't too surprising because it's such a beautiful color. So I grabbed it for $5.99. As soon as I got home I tried it on and I loved everything about it. The only issue is that it does leave a reddish stain once you take it off, but other than that its great. Take a look.

EOTD

Happy Sunday!

I usually do a neutral eye and a bright lip but today I felt like stepping up my eye makeup game hahaha. Unfortunately my left eye is looking like its dehydrated thanks to my contacts...ugh. So most of the pictures will be of my right side. I still like how it came out.

I used L.A. Colors 3 color eyeshadow palette in Iris. I did apply ELF eyelid primer and L.A. Colors white eyeshadow pencil first.
